Race Report
2009 Johnny Signs XC OMA Rnd 8
Team Off Camber Racing/Fastway/Klim
The Off-Camber, Fastway Performance, Pro Moto Billet, Klim Gear, Rekluse Clutch, Yamaha Race Team headed off to Bedford, Indiana this past weekend for Round 8 of the OMA Series.. The race course was the usual tight and gnarly woods. The track was 6 miles long and because of lack of rain, the conditions were extremely dusty causing some riders problems throughout the day.
Team Off Camber members that made the trek to Indiana this weekend were women's rider, Mandi Mastin and Open B rider, Morgan Moss. Morgan had a stellar day, starting the day off with the holeshot in his class. Morgan never looked back after the start chugging on to win the Open B class by over 15 minutes and finishing the day 9th overall!! With 3 rounds in the series remaining, Morgan is standing 1st place in the Open B Class.
Mandi Mastin's day started out okay after getting through a couple of bottlenecks on the first lap of the race. Once past the bottlenecks, Mandi was ready to put a charge on and start racing, but unfortunately half way through the race the teeth on her front sprocket broke and she was unable to finish off the last couple laps of the race. Mandi was still able to finish the race in 1st place. With 3 rounds in the series remaining, Mandi is standing 1st place in the Women's Class.
