2009 Titan GNCC
Team Off Camber Racing/Fastway/Klim
The Off-Camber, Fastway Performance, Pro Moto Billet, Klim Gear, Rekluse Clutch, Yamaha Race Team headed for Lafayette, Tennessee and the brand new Titan GNCC. The race was a mess. It rained non-stop, it was wet, rainy and muddy, just like Loretta Lynn's GNCC. The track took its toll, once again, on man and machine. The bikes and graphics can't take much more of this punishment.
Randy Mastin and Amanda Mastin, raced in the morning event. Randy finished 3rd in the Masters A class and a very respectful 14th Overall. Randy is still 2nd in the Overall Standings and has his hands full with the top riders in his class, since they are finishing consistently in the top three overall. Amanda came back strong, after her bike problems at Loretta's and finished 1st in her class and a very impressive 16th Overall. Amanda was excited to finish so strong in the mud and was just 1 minute behind her father in the Overall Standings. Randy commented that when his daughter beats him, he is going to retire. He may want to get his rockin chair ready. Amanda is now solidly in 1st in the Overall Points Standings, something she has been working for all year.
Morgan Moss fought back from his miserable mud race at Loretta's and ended up taking 1st in the 250 B class and 41st Overall. Morgan, at one point in the race, was running as high as 22nd the Overall. Amanda and David actually held Morgan up for the leaders, so he would not have to do the last lap of the race and Morgan still won his class by more than 8 minutes. Morgan is still 1st in the Overall points and looks forward to wrapping up the class and racing some A Classes before the end of the year.
Our English rider Rudy Austin and our Vet A rider Duane Conner were unable to make this GNCC, but both look forward to no more mud races and having their bikes back in shape for the Somerset round of the GNCC. Rudy is feeling much better after dislocating his shoulder at Loretta's.
The next race for the Team is the OMA in Kentucky this Sunday on Mother's Day. Don't forget to check out the team's website at www.teamoffcamber.com for updates.
