RACE REPORT
Round 4 of the GNCC Series
Team Off Camber Racing/Pro Moto Billet/Fastway

The Off-Camber, Pro-Moto Billet/Fastway Performance, Klim Gear, Rekluse Clutch, Yamaha Race Team headed for South Carolina and the Big Buck GNCC in Union, last weekend. The first race was the GNCC which was held in Melbourne, Florida this year. The race track offered wide quad width trails, with very little technical woods. However, there was a few mudholes that would challenge some of the riders.

Randy Mastin and Amanda Mastin raced, as usual, in the two hour morning event. Both racers found an interesting surprise, upon arriving to the starting line. Both Randy and Amanda’s starting lines had been moved to the very front row. The GNCC crew had taken some good advice from some of the morning riders and moved the Sportsman class to the 4 th row. This move should help in alleviating bottle necks. There are many fast riders in the Sportsman Class that are deserving of a front row start. However, there are also many more riders that were signing up for the Sportsman Class for a two hour trail ride and were not racing, causing bottlenecks for other riders that are racing for a championship.

The move proved to be good for everyone. Randy finished 2 nd in the Super Senior A class and 9 th Overall. Amanda finished 1 st in the Women’s class and had a very good 11 th Overall. Amanda actually lead for several laps, before the Super Senior A riders and the faster Sportsman were able to physically chase her down. Both Mastin’s thought the start was awesome and helped both of them have much better overalls on the day, since the did not have to battle through slower riders and bottlenecks. Even the Overall winners, Travis Green, Vance Earl and Robby Towery were fine with the new start format and had no problems working through traffic.

Randy is currently winning the Super Senior A class in the GNCC Series and Amanda is also currently 1 st in the Women’s Class. The Team was scheduled to race the Texas National Enduro the weekend of April 19/20, but decided to take a break from the road and get caught up on life at home. The Teams next race will be the GNCC in Tennessee at the Loretta Lynn Dude Ranch in Hurricane Mills. This event is one of the most beautiful places in the country and offers a very special race experience.
